Client Configuration¶
Config Files¶
Each client is configured to use a primary repo, and the configuration for that repo is kept in the 'client' folder of that repo. During installation, the sa_updater.ps1 script downloads the client configuration and installs it along with the client software.
The sa_updater.ps1 script also installs itself as a backup measure to ensure the client software continues to function properly.
NOTE: sa_updater.ps1 AND the SA client are digitally signed, and the signing certificate is installed along with the client. This helps prevent antivirus from blocking sa_updater.ps1 or the client software. Do not make any changes to the sa_updater.ps1 script, or the digital signature will no longer be valid.
Both clientconfig.xml and sa_updater.xml need to be configured for the repo:
- Replace all options inside [square brackets] with the required configuration.
- The ClientCert and CACert options can be copied from the 'root_ca/[date-time]-clientsigner-intermediate_ca' folder we created earlier.
Installing the Client¶
Once the configuration files are finished, copy sa_updater.ps1 and sa_updater.xml to a folder on the client machine, and run the updater:
